DriveTidy ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

2. Data We Collect

We only collect the data necessary to provide our service:

  • Google Account Information: Your email address and name (via Google OAuth) for authentication.
  • File Metadata: File names, sizes, types, folder paths, and modification dates to detect duplicates and clutter.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with our service (pages visited, features used) to improve the product.

We do NOT read or store the contents of your files. All analysis is based on metadata only.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to:

  • Authenticate you via Google OAuth
  • Scan your Google Drive for duplicates, clutter, and organization opportunities
  • Generate AI-powered suggestions for renames, folders, and file moves
  • Execute the organization commands you explicitly approve
  • Maintain logs of changes for undo functionality

4. Data Storage & Retention

Scan results and suggestion data are stored temporarily to provide a seamless experience. When you disconnect your account, we delete your stored data within 30 days.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS. We use secure OAuth 2.0 for authentication and never store your Google password.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google APIs: For Drive access and authentication
  • Stripe: For payment processing (we never see your full card number)
  • Analytics providers: For product improvement (anonymized usage data)

7. Use of Google User Data

DriveTidy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we have about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Disconnect your Google account at any time
  • Export your scan history
